WLCALUM Entry 1

athletics, WLC (r scheibe vs CUW)         Good news and bad news. Bad news--most of the fall athletic teams at my old school aren't doing too well this year. Good news is--I'll just focus on the two that are! Women's tennis team finished 2nd at Northern Athletics Conference tournament, and Men's soccer team made the conference playoffs!  Volleyball team had a frustrating go of it though--losing 3 five-game matches at home. Not the way I'd prefer the 4 seniors on that squad to go. However, the one 5-gamer the team did manage to win was at a meet in Colorado--against Greensboro College of North Carolina. A bunch of good Illinois squads were placed in our conference this year--conference playoffs will take place in a couple of weeks. (Lakeland, another member of the conference, went down to Georgetown, Texas for a meet and knocked off a good Hardin-Simmons squad).

For anyone who's into traditionally sound preaching:  sermonaudio.com is a good site to at least look at. This poster has listened to talks given by pastors David Brown and Jeffery Lyle. Just informing, folks--your call, your choice.
